In this series of paintings, I’m focusing on abstractions of flowers, landscapes and trees. I draw images from nature to create a realistic image integrated with an abstract form. The camouflage effect is made by layering paint in a push/pull technique of color intensity and value. The surfaces are highly textured and glazed. I choose colors and compositions for their emotional impact on the viewer. I want to convey the beauty I see in the diversity of natural forms.
